my retort:

Creating a business is not an easy task. There are so many things to consider.
Actually I am not that business minded person. It's does not run through our blood. We are really are
just consumers and just customers.We are so contented in that level hohoho!. Yes, we had a small store
before built in the front of our house but it did not work. My family decided to closed that up because we
were not able to manage that store in a business-minded perspective way. I mean as what I have noticed
to those successful business man and woman in our place, oh men! they are so tough, so stone-hearted folks.
I can really say they are so hard as stone because "hindi talaga sila nagpapa-utang kahit kamag-anak pa nila,
kung magkautang kaman, sisingilin ng sisingilin ka nila hanggang pumutok tenga mo sa ingay ng paniningil nila".
And we were not that kind of people. We are naturally not money-maker or some business freaks people
because to be honest "nahurot nalang among baligya sa utang! ahahha! ugma-ugmaon ra sa silingan.
As in ingun sa akong mama kung kwentahun ang mga wala nabayran og mga gikalimtang mga utang
more or less 50,000php pa unta ang dapat masingil". So i really proved that even in a small store we
were not able to make it successful how much more in a big ideal businesses ahahah! Maybe it could
be possible when God really want me to be and to do so.. some business chever..
He will just give me some power to be it! so, so much more in that brief family business history..lets proceed to the Question.



Because of my panicky mind, i came up with this very "manok" idea of mine which i think i will excel with..(char!)

From the name itself it is very obvious that my so-called business or Technopreneur rather; its very nature is for web developing and Media center.
first, lets talk about web designing, what its all about.

so, really i admit that my business is very very very "letchon manok". Everyone knows this business idea is so common..sorry for that because no matter
how hard I scrutinize my mind theres nothing i can think of that i can really excel and i love except this idea.
The nature of Web designing, is we all know is all about designing web sites. But my Technopreneur is much more
exciting because my company is very client friendly. Of course I have an office where the customer can go there and
state his wants and needs in a website. When we say designing it points out about the interface the Web interface rather,
like some themes and web skins. The customer can also visit our website @ www.WDMH.com, where they can chat or video
chat us for dealing purposes. My business is much more than designing but we also give our heart and best toward
every work we will be making. We will make sure that out patronizers will be satidfied in our business and will be amazes
in awe with the outcome or the fruit product of the web site skin. Every clients will be happy. We will give them more than what they
desire.

so the very nature of Media hub diba when we say say hub it is the center or the heart. As what i have said in my previous
retort my business? is not just web designing and web developing we offer more than that after we design and develop a web site for
the customer, we help advertise their products whether in walls, televisions and in the Internet.
Depending on the choice of the client. We will post some advertisement in some social web sites to endorse
their products and items. We will also do some advertisement or commercial in the television.
Making an add video for promoting their product.






Targets:

of course my target are those business start ups who wants a website to be developed for them
in their business. For their business transactions and for the promotion of their goods.
We also offer services to those who have already web sites for themselves
but still want to upgrade or to modify some components of their web site or web page.
We can entertain any problem regarding Web skins and themes.
Our target also are those who already have websites but still wanted to make
their product known by means of advertising in social sites just like twitters,facebooks,
multiply and many others.

Commencement Address of Steve Job - Assignment 4

There are three Primary subject matters that should be considered:

1. +Connecting the Dots
2. +Love and Lost
3. +Death




The Commencement Address of Steve Jobs really intrigue me about his guy. As I had first read this article, I was mesmerized
by his story. It’s full of ups and downs. I can’t imagine my life to be on his. I can’t truly put myself on his shoes.
Although his life story seems hard and so much complicated , he seems to be very adoptive and can easily cope
up to every situation and circumstances he has/have been encountering. I think he is a strong willed person.
His life is full of mystery. Steve Job’s life is full of misery. Honestly I can feel pity towards him because of the life
He had and There’s one thing that’s very, very important that he never mention or talked about. I think
I just reserved that for the “I therefore conclude” statement at the end of this reflection.



1.+Connecting the Dots

-So, I suppose Steve Jobs now is very successful in terms of financial state or I should say he is successful in
the matters of money making businesses, for being a “Technopreneur”. I can see his name on the list of the
most successful person on their field. Just like Steve Jobs, his field is on scrutinizing and dissecting computers.
Even though he had not finished his studies in college because he dropped out, he became successful in his
chosen field, and maybe because of some and financial reasons.

Let me start when he was born. His parents are not God’s will. From the very story that his parents were unwed
and although they had a baby they chose not to get marry and put baby steve on an adoption, he was broken [broken baby] huhuhu…..
But her mother was wiser that time when she decided to give Steve o a settled couple who promised that
they would sent Steve to college. I realize that steve was not able to finish even the 2nd semester in
college and he just dropped out. He eventually did that because he has a lot of self confidence it everything
would be alright. Amazing! It so funny that he first dropped out the subjects that he like, What a weird person.
Then many things had happen to him. He has a most terrible college life I ever know.

You can really connect the dots by looking backward as Steve said. He is a Strong-willed person.


His first story was miserable.



2. +Love and Lost




In early stage of his life, I mean in that age[17] he found out what he like and what most interest him that it seems that he know that he would be very successful someday, that he would never regret the decisions he has made. I think that time when they released their finest creation-the Macintosh-
It is so weird and funny and “I don’t know” when you get fired in your own company??? How come, just like what happen to Steve. But because of that undesired scenario, in his second company, he found his wife. Obviously he had learned to accept and appreciate the things that was happening into his life. HE love what he was doing and so determined in his everyway. He is realy a strong person, maybe because there is something or someone is been trusting for. I wonder what is that. He is following what he desires and what his heart says. I can him, his Selfish!. He only thinks about his self . Sometimes I can discern that even though he looked so strong but deep inside, he is broken, weak and helpless because of that he created a wall for himself, he became selfish, and raging, he became numb and acting that he could surpass everything according to his will.

I like this statement of him “DON’T SETTLE”
-two words yet encompasses thousands of relevance.


His 2nd story is a little bit miserable



3. +Death




“If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly right”
It made an impression on him and also to me…..
For him, living is the most important thing. I suppose, it applies to every person’s principles.
When Steve Jobs diagnosed with cancer, we all know that cancer is incurable, he felt fear [fear of death].
Fortunately I those times that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, the only cure is surgery and he did! And he is fine now. “Yet death is the destination we all share”, a very realistic statement by Steve.



His 3rd story is somehow miserable.



“Stay Foolish. Stay Hungry.”

-this statement catches my attention. We should stay foolish, meaning that our must be open and dynamic
always to new discoveries and knowledge. We must not be contented with the education or learning or
knowledge that we have, we must keep exploring, creating and discovering. We should stay hungry means
that we should be hungry in terms of dreams and opportunities. Keep on Dreaming, Keep on reaching higher
Goals and higher visions. Keep on Moving Forward!

But all of this is worldly right? But all of these will be possible in JESUS alone. Just make sure we
will do these things in accordance with the will of GOD. For the glory of His name we will keep on moving forward.



Why his life became miserable?



What is that one thing he has not recognized? It is, the author and the finisher of life he had. GOD.
He never mention the name of GOD in his commencement and as I had watched the move “Pirates of the Silicon Valley”
I can see that Steve Jobs had lived a miserable and despondent life because he had not call upon the name of JESUS,
Who could have changed His life and mindset, Who could make him realize that his existence here on earth is
not designed to fail and to live a terrible life but rather to have an abundant life in JESUS. I hope it’s not too
late for him to deter his true purpose in life and accept JESUS CHRIST as his Lord and Savior. MY LORD can
change lives, I pray that he can realized that before his breath comes back to its Author.

I can’t express the joy deep in my heart, It is overwhelming..my cup overflows!
knowing that the Lord love me so much and he is still loving me until now and
has been loving me since the day I was conceived and will love me forevermore.


Asking and seeking about my purpose in life and about the reason of my existence is my primary assignment in my life.
Of course these questions are not new to all human beings but every breathing creature has their individual purposes in life.
I was seeking myself before, who am I and what the Earth am I living for. Not when I turned to 18 when I really
realized that I was created and born for a greater purpose. Before, I thought life is just a matter of eating for living,
eat, go to school, graduate, get rich and then marry, have children, then grandchildren then die. I really thought
that design for a mere Human is life itself. Perhaps a life cycle.

BUT I WAS COMLETELY WRONG! For, for the sake of this Mere human myself, A Savior was born for me, A God died for me!
Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born,
To us a son is given.
And the government will be on His shoulders,
And He will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.



Now I know what the purpose of my existence is really. God showed me the answer; I was born Just to glorify Him, to Him
and to JESUS alone, to have Personal Encounter and relationship to Him. When I received Jesus Christ, The lover of my
soul as my personal Lord and Savior, I became His Child (John 1:12). That was the greatest and the most extravagant
thing happened in my life, knowing that I am a child of the Most High.


Living for Him is my Purpose.

And my Mission in life is this:

Matthew 28:18-20

Then Jesus came to them and said, “all authorities in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and
The Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely a am with you always, to the very end of the age.”


-This is my life verse. It is my mission to obey God. To take up my cross, deny myself and Follow Him. Obey His Will.
Doing everything through FAITH, because it is very impossible to please God without faith.
It’s all about Grace + Faith=SALVATION; Salvation+Obedience=CHRISTIAN.
Being a Christian myself is the way I am. Even since the Earth were founded, I was chosen by God to be His servant.
Doing what He wants is my goal and Mission in life. Seeing myself as a Preacher and a Singer for His Glory is my Primary Vision.
Because without Christ I Am Nothing just like when you remove the letter IAN in CHRISTIAN; I-I A-Am N-Nothing without CHRIST.
So, In CHRSIT I am complete.

Personal Traits - Assignment 2

Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
Emotional Quotient (EQ)
Adversity Quotient (AQ)



What is personality Traits?

Let us begin by splitting the two words for us to really understand what was it.
First is Personality. Personality comes from a root word person, that natters about your persona or your being,
being a human. So when we talk about personality it talks about somebody's set of characteristics and quality
of being a person. It’s the totality of somebody's attitudes, interests, behavioral patterns, emotional responses,
social roles, and other individual traits that endure over long periods of time.


Personality, deeply ingrained and relatively enduring patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior. Personality
usually refers to that which is unique about a person, the characteristics that distinguish him or her from other
people. Thought, emotion, and behavior as such do not constitute a personality, which is, rather, the
dispositions that underlie these elements. Personality implies predictability about how a person will act or react
under different circumstances.

Second is Trait. Trait according to Microsoft Encarta 2007, it is the individual characteristic or a characteristic or
quality that distinguishes somebody.
If we now come together the two words, Personality Traits means a person’s set of characteristics. Providentially,
there are three measures that will test our Capacity as a human and will analyze and evaluate our Intelligence,
Emotion and Adversity or difficulties.

Regarding with our assignment that we will have or we should get an individual test with regard to our subject
Technopreneurship, that will test and measure our capability to be an Entrepreneur or to be a business and
woman with the use of technology. We were task to take the three personality traits; Intelligence Quotient (IQ),
Emotional Quotient (EQ), Adversity Quotient (AQ).


Intelligence Quotient (IQ):

Intelligence is the capacity to learn or understand. Although
intelligence is possessed by all people, it varies in amount for
each person, and remains the same throughout life from
approximately 18 years of age.
In psychology, intelligence is defined as the capacity to
acquire knowledge or understanding, and to use it in novel
situations.

What is IQ?
IQ is the abbreviation for intelligence quotient.
Intelligence quotient (IQ) is an age-related measure of
intelligence and is defined as 100 times mental age. The word
‘quotient’ means the result of dividing one quantity by
another, and intelligence can be defined as mental ability and
quickness of mind.

As what i have heard and known, IQ is a test wherein it measure ones knowledge about subject matters.
Actually, as the result of my personal IQ test, it proved me right that i have an average Intelligence Quotient and capacity.
funny, but I am not that knowledgeable or super smart about such subjects like mathematics, science and facts, although
I can say that I am a logical and willing to learn person but I have an average rating in IQ.
By convention, many people use the term IQ to refer to a score on an intelligence test.

So, why is IQ related in business and TECHNOPRENEURSHIP? or is it essential to have a high IQ when it comes in
managing businesses?
My retort is this:
Of course, making or starting up a business needs an imaginative and logical ming to conceive such ideas and planning.
It's the matter or Business, project and process management so having a brilliant mind that is capable and knowledgeable
about things are highly needed. Probably for me, Having a high Intelligence Quotient is the most prior requirement because
through this mind, it could help the business come up with ideas that can help improve the business and can help
acquire techniques that can improve the productivity of the Business.
Of course in managing and planning purposes, a high IQ person must be in because he/she will help correct and
analyze any situations, problems and concerns the company may encounter.
IQ (Intelligence Quota) was believed it was the primary determinant of success



Emotional Quotient (EQ):

This trait measures my Emotional characteristic or proportion. Emotional intelligence is complementary to the
type of intelligence measured by IQ tests.
In this test I was able to have a high score but not perfect; 44 out of 51. Emotional Quotient assessment
determine a person’s characteristic and attitude towards another people or how a person communicate with
his fellowmen regardless with the surroundings or the environment they are in. So, why is emotion, the
heightened feeling is important with regard to business? Well the answer is in the world of a business, it’s not all
about having a great and knowledgeable mind, but the most important is how we interact, communicate or
handle ourselves to others. Because in the field of Business and Entrepreneurship (Technopreneurship), every
business man and woman will be facing and dealing clients and costumers which are also human, logical
individuals. The growth, development and productivity of a company recline with its consumers. Of course a
business is not a business when there is no customer and it is intended to attract their patrons.

In accordance with the results of my EQ (Emotional Quotient) test, I can be a good business woman
someday, hopefully. A good Technopreneur should know about their clients concerns, needs and wants so that
there will be harmony on both sides.


Adversity Quotient:
What is AQ (Adversity Quotient?

AQ is the bedrock of human endeavor. Meaning AQ tests our capability to handle different kinds of situation
that may or can be face or encounter in the flow of the business.
As the result of me Adversity test, I gained a high score..
so it means, I have the prowess by God's grace to influence and affect any situation that may possibly take place
in the water flow in a business.
But in te Reach of the CORE= (Control, Ownership, Reach and Endurance). I was not able to
have a high score maybe because REACH is all about:
Keeping the fallout under control and limiting the reach of adversity is essential for efficient and effective problem solving. Those with higher AQs keep setbacks and challenges in their place, not letting them infest the healthy areas of their work and lives. Those with lower AQs tend to catastrophize, allowing a setback in one area to bleed into other, unrelated areas and become destructive.

There are many things or factors that lead to Steve Jobs Failure and Sucess.
These factors could have been Distructive and constructive in his life and career.

My retort:-Everything im gonna state is in accordance or basing to what i have depicted about the movie.
so here's some factors that contributed to the succes and failure of Steve Jobs:

Success:



He was a Gifted man

He's biological father was a mathematical professor
- so was blessed with some mathematics genuis genes from his father.

He is amazingly Creative and Such an Artist

He is an explorer trying new things that can widen his thoughts

He has A high IQ

His intellegence was pure
-Unlike Bill Gates, Steve Jobs was founded Apple and Invent Macintosh systems by his own guts and mind
power with the help of His Bestfriend Steve Wozniak.
While Bill Gates is very wise in the sense that he steal some ideas and then improve it.

He has Strong will power
- We know that Steve Jobs came from scratch and he did everthing just for his creation would be recognize and will be used by the people for a greater purpose.

He is Hardworking
- Through the movie, i had realized that hardwork is the answer to sucess
here is the equation: Intellenge + Hardwork= Success(But not full sucess)

2. How do you see yourself as a technopreneur?

Being a 21 Year old citizen of the Philippines and a neophyte for womanhood now, I can vision a lot of things in my life for the future. But I am holding unto Almighty God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:11 “for I know the plans I have for you; plan to prosper you and not to harm you; a plan to give you hope and a future”.

Seeing myself as a technopreneur ignites my will to become a successful business woman someday because I believe that being an Information Technology Student is not just a dreamer that is just stuck in seeing oneself to graduate with a degree course, to get a good job and to be an employee of a superior leading company of any kind but to be an exquisite and triumphant Business Creator, Handler or owner someday of course with the use of new innovations of technology.

Being a 21-year Old special creation of God, I knew myself that well. I know my Likes and Dislikes. My dreams, aims, goals, vision, mission or whatever you may call that, I knew and know it. Maybe someday as I get older this goals will change and vary due o the passing of time.

When I imagine myself to be a technopreneurship, I somehow find some part of my personal questions about and of my existence here on earth and also sometimes I can draw a theory or a premise that I am destined to become an Information Technology (IT) expert and Professional and surely a Business-woman someday.

I knew myself quiet well, so I can say that when I become a Technopreneur someday, I become victorious in my chosen career because I’ll make sure that when I walk down the isle of my graduation day ceremony in USEP, I am that much equip and will be well-educated and well-trained graduate student of IT and I will make sure that I would apply all my learning in this institution and of course the application of my erudition in this subject (TECHNOPRENEURSHIP).

Ok, I will state some scenarios that I have foreseen in my super amazing imaginary land:
When I graduate in College I will have my masteral and after having an equip (but no full knowledge because every day we are learning trough our own experience in life) knowledge about My career, I will attend seminars that will help me undergo sophisticated trainings about putting and handling out a business with the use of technology, I will also seek advice from a very fine business consultant that will help me think, consider and realize a business that will fit to me; that will fit to my profession, to my concepts and ideas and that will fit to my capacity and my attitude and character as a being . After that, when I know I am financially capable and proficient of building a Technopreneurship (business with technology) I will now build my business. Some opportunities do come like these businesses were offered to you by those giant companies providing a capital for your business as what our Subject Handler said last time. Some Companies are offering a deal that will also bring fort benefit to them.

Surely, I will be wise in my future TECHNOPRENERSHIP and will make sure to it that this business of mine will grow, boom and will be victorious. In every business there are always problems and concerns but it is not an excuse that you deal it illegally or the way that you will put the business, the employees and the consumers at risks.

Many successful Business man and woman came from scratch just like Steven Jobs and Bill Gates but based on the movie, I have learned and realized that one must be wise. Wise in the essence that you will improve someone else’s invention or discovery while not playing dirty games towards those person. Triumphant Business man or woman must begin having a companion, company of friends or anyone who can or would contribute some ideas, lending finances etch. It maybe a business or a deal by a company or a two’s or a partner just like Bill Gates and his best friend and a College classmate in Harvard University Steve Ballmer and Steve Jobs and his close friend and partner Steve Wozniak. “Two head are better than one”. This is a famous saying way back decades. So I realize that have such a company or partner/s would be better in exploring, creating, discovering and building some ideas that will result to a very brilliant outcome that leads to do good to the people.

I can see myself 10 years from now, I will be a strong-willed person though I am a sanguine because I know in the range of that era or year some things will be very transient, dynamic and tangible. So, being a Technopreneur I must consider what the people practically need, not just what they want but what they need. So being like that, I must have a convincing power that enables them to speak out (people, client or customer) what they want from my product or what service can I convey towards them, it’s either need or want or both. I must use some strategy that will benefit my clients and its users for good.
*Entrepreneur, one who assumes the responsibility and the risk for a business operation with the expectation of making a profit. The entrepreneur generally decides on the product, acquires the facilities, and brings together the labor force, capital, and production materials. If the business succeeds, the entrepreneur reaps the reward of profits; if it fails, he or she takes the loss.

By this connotation about what is really the essence of being an entrepreneur. I can therefore conclude that being a business woman with the use of Technology I must be very wise in handling such things so that I will not fail. Although when I will fail at least I will have my lesson from it.

3. Would you take the same career path that Steve Jobs took? Why or why not?

-Being a smart and innovative person as his, YES but the way he handles his life I could not just agree with him with what he had done in his life. Certainly no. It is Miserable.
All I mean is Steven Jobs is so much talented. He has skills that some persons do not have. He has a brilliant mind that can conceive different ideas about the computers and everything about it. If I was he, I would rather not mess my life with such an ego-centric character, super paranoid attitude and having selfish desires and ambitions.

I can’t fully understand his Character. He is a miserable person although he has all this gift and talents maybe because of his childhood story that his mother left him. It is so sad that truly there is no perfect in this world, whether it is a person as a human being or in a sense of every situation that we have been through. There are no such perfect things. You a smart but you don’t have a sanctuary that you can call family. It such a very sad thing, knowing that you wanted a mother very much but then, you have none. And no matter what you do you can’t find her. It will make one fill empty, purposeless and full of mess. It broke his heart so much that because of the pain he is suffering from it made an erasable scar in his heart and on his being. How pitiful he is.

Everything that he was doing was almost in the perfect tract to success and victory but he had just wasted it all because of his high temperament (he is a high-tempered person -i mean he can't really control his emotions).

Steve Jobs is really2 handsome in the movie! truly, Hes is..His life seems to be in a right tract. He had some friend whom who are there for him. Lending a helping hand to him. He has a best friend with the same name as he who was very supportive to him but not as Jobs really changed from good to bad.
He has a very beautiful girlfriend who loves him so much and also supports his very ways although he doesn't have a mother who could have been there for him taking care of him, love him all the way. he found his sanctuary and safe place in the bosom of his friends, best friend and girlfriend.

The sad thing is he do not know how to handle everything. He could have been very successful because of his intellegence. in fact he has a very high IQ (intellectual Quotient) but he have a low, i think very low EQ (Emotional Quotient).

He made a very great mistake because in times of his depressions and downfalls he did not call God to comfort and guide him. In all his ways and in all his life all through the Movie (Pirates of the Silicon Valley),he did not recognize GOD in his life. A man can have everything wealth, golds, dollars, intellegence and all the treasures of this world but he cannot have the real peace and happiness in life if he dont have A JESUS in his life. A rich and smart man can buy anything he wants but he cannot buy salvation, peace and real abundance. On;y im JESUS alone we can find our longed sanctuary.

I was a bit disappointed to him when he rejected His girlfriend and his daughter. They could have been a perfect family but because of his pride everything messed up. He did not mary Arlene because of i dont know. HE did not claim the child that Arlene was bearing for to him it was not his child. How Selfish!. I pity baby lisa for that. Her own father rejected her. It's a total disgrace to arlene.
what i thought was i knew that Steve Jobs was convicted and was convinced that the child or Lisa is his really. But because of his "i dont know" character he deserted the two without even supplying and supporting them financially and morally.

But after all these failures it seemed to be remedied when Bill gates and Steven Jobs combind power in the end.
